The artist Latifa has finished recording a new prayer, dedicated to the soul of her mother, and is preparing to release the song on her official YouTube channel during the upcoming month of Ramadan.

Latifa wrote on her Instagram account, “My dear ones who ask about my absence, surely the severe pain and sorrow I went through after losing my mother was very difficult for me.”

The prayer is written by Karim Hakim, with music and arrangement by Khaled Fotouh.

Latifa’s mother passed away in a hospital in Cairo after a month-long battle with illness. The star announced her mother’s death on January 1, 2024, through her Instagram account.

It’s worth mentioning that Latifa’s latest work is the song “Summer Cloud,” which she released on YouTube in October of last year. The lyrics are by Mahmoud Layman, composed by Aziz El Shafei, and arranged by Ahmed Adel.
